Dry, Brittle, Peeling nails....

Unfortunatly this is what I suffer from it sounds gross, It isn't actually as gross as it sounds (although on some it is) but it is definatly frustrating because no matter how long I stop biting my nails for they don't grow because the tips peel which makes them weak & they either break or have to be cut down. But I think I may have found my saving grace in the shape of....

Quimeca Alemana Nail Harder

Photobucket

I read about this is a blog (I can't for the life of me remember whoes) & it sounded really good so I read up on it & it sounded really good. I looked online for UK sellers but it's ridiculously priced over here at £21 on Amazon so I tried ebay & found an international seller & managed to get it for £6.56 a bargain imo. I have now been using it just under a week & I can already tell a difference my nails are less harder & less bendy. I think I need to use it for at least a month to see if it stops the peeling but if you just suffer from soft, bendy nails I would definatly reccomend it.

Heres what it say's about the product....

Quimica Alemana Nail Hardener  .47 FL OZ

Here are my nails as from today.....

My Middle & Index fingers are by far the worst of the bunch they are the main culprits for peeling and breaking they are always my shortest nails. My index finger & pinky fingers are the best at growing & actually grow pretty well. & my thumb basically does what it wants some weeks it grows, some weeks it peels, some weeks it breaks it's very inconsistent lol. But Fingers crossed that soon all my nails will be long & healthy :)

Let me know If you use, tried or are going to buy this product and how things are going for you.

Weekend Nails - Week 10 - Pretty Pastel Polkadots

I have to say I was rather upset when I removed this polish because it just looked soooo cute! But stupid work & their stupid rules meant it had to be removed.

I've been craving the pastel look lately & as I'm rather poor at the minute I decided to do the next best thing & make my very first Franken polish! I used Sally Hansens - Blue Me Away & Rimmels - London Clouds & an old empty mini bottle of Seche Vite to make this pretty colour....

Photobucket

It didn't turn out as pastel as I would have like but it is really pretty & summery...

Photobucket

Aren't they adorable! I love polkadots especially in bright colours.

Photobucket

I used 1 coat of OPI's Alpine Snow Matter & 1 coat of the blue it worked perfectly & only need one coat & the coverage was perfect I love how they turned out.

Polkadots will also be incorporated into next weeks nails as I'm going to see Disney on Ice YAY so expect some Disney themed nails next week :). I will also be announcing the rules of my giveaway & the prizes within the next week so keep your eyes peeled :)

Weekend Nails - Week 9 - Bronzed Beauty

Sorry this is late but here are my last weekends nails & Nail polish's

Photobucket

I used Nails Inc - Old Bond street & old clear nail polish mixed with some gold glitter as a topcoat to add a little sparkle

And here are the finished nails....

Photobucket

I absolutely LOVE Nails Inc polish's they literally need one coat to be opaque and dry so fast and go on so smooth they are fast becoming my favourite polish's.

What's your favourite polish brand?

Weekend Nails - Week 8 - It's A Bling Thing

Well my nails this weekend may possibly be favourite summer look nail EVER! I was Inspired because of the gorgeous sunny weather we've been having so I thought I'd make the most of it, They were so easy to do, but it looks so effective I can't stop looking at them. So without further a do here's what I used.....
OPI, Saffron, Seche Vite

My very first OPI polish! I am a little obsessed with white nail polish but for some reason they seem to take FOREVER to dry, I heard OPI's Alpine Snow was a good white polish & read a review saying that the matte form dried quickly & looked good so I decided to take the plunge. & I'm glad I did, it goes on a little streaky but dries in no time at all so the fact it took 3 coats was counteracted by the fact it dried in less time than most gloss polish's so I would definatly reccomend it! I used Saffron Gold Glitter flecks I also have this in silver but I love white & gold together & Seche Vite Fast dry top coat to finish off.

So here are my finished nails...

Photobucket

Photobucket

How pretty! They look so bright & fresh I will definatly be doing this again. For This I used 3 coats of OPI Alpine Snow Matte, 2 Coats of Saffron Gold Glitter Flakes & 1 coat Of Seche Vite Fast dry Topcoat.

So what do you think to this look

Weekend Nails - Week 5 - Give A Little Love ♔

Hiii Guyss, I've been a bad blogger this past week no mid-week mani & only one post in the week & no weekend nails untill today = A Very Bad Blogger!

Photobucket

I plan to make it up to you though! With some new updated storages & collections in the week & my oh so cute weekend nails. They're all lovey-dovey in the spirit of Valentines Day, which is partly why there was no post yesterday as I was celebrating early with Josh. But I'm back & here's what I used....

Photobucket

The pink polish is my newest addition to my collection i will be showing my updated collection in a later post, but I LOVE the colour it's so bright & fresh & I love the contrast with the deep red....

Photobucket

Aren't they adorable!!!

These were pretty simple for a begginer like me but very fitting for the time of year. They aren't the neatest hearts but I'm just getting used to using my brushes & paint's. I can't wait to try out different patterns!

How do your nails look this weekend? & Happy Valentines Day!

Weekend Nails - Week 4 - Flakie Fun ♔

I am literally obsessed with my Essie polish, Shine Of The times!

Photobucket

I've painted my nails 3 times this weekend the first you saw in the last post Love At First Shine. I tried Shine of the times on over all three of the Rimmel polish's & it looked great on all three....

Photobucket

I really liked the middle colour Dream it's a greyish lilac It will definatly be getting used alot in the summer months but int the end this is what I chose......

Photobucket

I painted most of my nails in 'Angel' & my ring finger in 'Wish'. I had this on all they day but then I started wondering what would it look like over black? So my curiosity got the better of me & here is the polish over black....

Photobucket
In some lights it takes on a reddish/orange colour and in others it has a greenish tinge...
Photobucket
It is so pretty!

Photobucket

This looks so cool! This may be my favouritest ever polish ever in the world ever! (or at least untill my Nfu-Oh 51 turns up if it ever does I've been waiting 3weeks!)

Anyways here are all the polish's I used in this post.....

Photobucket

Frome left to right Revlon 'Lunar', Seche Vite Topcoat, Rimmel 'Angel', Rimmel 'Dream', Rimmel 'Wish', Essie 'Shine Of The Times'......I know loads right!

So how did you do your nails this weekened?

Mid-week Mani ♔ Week 4....

As these post's are mainly for me I'll keep them short & sweet so here's week 4 Natural Nail Midweek Mani.....

Photobucket

Theres been a few breakages meaning some have had to be filed down completely but hopefully not for much longer. I've been using this on my nails as both a base and a strengthener.....

Photobucket

I'm not sure if it working at the moment as the tips are still weak but time will tell. Any way heres this weeks scores.....

Strength - 1 - It's a waiting game untill the tips grow out (& waiting & waiting.....)

Length - 1 - They grow but break so i just keep filing them down untill they're strong enough

Colour - 4 -  I still haven't quite mastered the art of not painting to my nail bed which is leaving me with a little polish around the edges but otherwise they are a pretty good colour

Mini Polish Haul ♔.....

Well yes I know It's meant to be Midweek Mani Day but I've decided that thursday might aswell be Midweek Mani day as they have been for the past 2 weeks plus I just really wanted to show you my goodies I've got today.....

As you all know in my previous post I showed my updated storage & today I've acquired  4 more pretty polish's....

Photobucket

2 Revlon Polish's in Lunar & Sweet Tart & 2 Barry M polish's in Vivid Purple & Black (you can never have too many black polishs). Here are some quick swatches of the colours ignore the messy application I just wanted to try them out...

Photobucket

Revlon 'Sweet Tart' - It's pink I have loads of reds & pinks & it's sort of like my Rimmel Londons 'Strawberry Fizz' only not scented but something about it caught my eye, the brush in this seem rather thin but it works well, it does need 3 coats to become opaque but dry's pretty quickly & looks really cute on I may wear this at the weekend.

Revlon 'Lunar' - I love black nail polish, if I'm ever stuck on picking a colour I always go to black it's just so versatile & like the staple little black dress it can be dressed up or down depending on my mood. Revlon's 'Lunar' is a deep glossy black with a slightly grey/green tinge in the bottle but  amazing it was completely opaque in 1 coat although I always do 2 for good measure it was so glossy & shiny this will definatly be a favourite.

Barry M 'Black' - Another black polish this is not as opaque as the Revlon polish but after 2 coats it's glossy & completely opaque, Although you can't tell in the picture the black is not as deep as the Revlon black but still looks great

Barry M 'Vivid Purple' - A very pretty purple, A very deep pretty purple. Purple (I know how many times can I say purple in one paragraph?) But purple is one of my favourite colours along with Turquoise. My bedroom is also purple & so is this polish It's a very close dupe to my Avon Decadence but I find it a much better consistency. it is completely opaque in one coat but is shown above with 2 coats. It has a sort of metallic shimmer to it & looks amazing under lights & daylight. Another weekend maybe.

So this weekends nails are between Barry M 'Vivid Purple' & Revlon 'Sweet Tart' which do you prefer?

My Nail Polish Emporium!...♔

As you may remember I did a post on my nail polish collection & storage which looked like this.....

Photobucket

Photobucket

Well I am so stupidly excited by what I have just purchased I may actually cry. This is only something that my fellow polish addicts will understand the rest of you will most likely think I'm bonkers (which is actually true) but it is beautiful! I'm shedding a tear as we speak (or I type but I'm reading it all in my head anyway) It fits all my polish's in as they are all in different sized bottles it would hold less of the larger bottles such as OPI & Revlon.

My only concern is do I store them by colour....

Photobucket

or by brand....

Nail Polish Rack

I do prefer having them in colour as its easier to see what colour I want but visually because all the bottles are different sizes it looks better by brand, either way I love it! You have nooo idea how long it took me to find this bad boy! I must have googled, ebayed, & amazoned nail polish racks a bazilion times & I never managed to find one that holds more than 30 polish's for less than £60 but here it is the new love of my life (sorry Josh) isnt it amazing!

I had seen on another site which advertised it as being £35 with free P+P then added £7 VAT at checkout then insisted I had to spend at LEAST £50 BEFORE VAT which when i attempted made my seemingly cheap polish rack at £35 now cost me £67! RIDICULOUS is the word you are looking for. Enter Amazon *insert soppy face* this only cost £35 + £1.60 P+P! This is actually my Valentine present from my lovely lovely boyfriend he doesn't quite get my obsession lol.

This is the first time I'd seen a rack that held over 90 bottles on the UK site they have loads on the US site (stupid england) but anyhoooo I'm rambling so what do you think?.

I've also been a busy little bee buying and ordering different nail art equipment but untill it all arrives I won't be going through everything individually but for now here are my updated storage boxes....

Nail Art Storage

How do you store your nail polishs & equipment? & am I a bad polish lover for not owning any China Glaze, Essie or OPI polish's? I feel bad about it....
